Our Team
Mark Kowalski, CPA, CA
Mark obtained his CPA in 2013 during his early career with two mid-size Canadian accounting firms. During this time, his areas of expertise included not for profit audit, Canadian and US tax matters and personal taxes.
Mark's audit experience took him around the country as he developed a specialization in working with first nation and Inuit groups in the North. He regularly travels to Nunavut to perform audit and accounting services to NPOs and Municipalities there.
In 2017, Mark opened his own firm in order to provide a more personal level of service to his clients as well as develop relationships with businesses as external accounting support.
Mosope Daniel Adegbemi
Daniel is a Staff Accountant with Kowalski CPA and has been with us since 2021. He graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2020 with a Honours Bachelor’s Degree with specialization in Accounting and currently pursuing his CPA designation.
Daniel specializes in working with owner-managers and assisting with the initial setup of accounts and books for new businesses and newly incorporated companies. In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching soccer.
Lauren Page
Lauren is a Staff Accountant with Kowalski CPA. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree with a specialization in Accounting from Carleton University and is currently pursuing her CPA designation.
She has experience working with owner-managed businesses, primarily in the construction and real estate industries. She enjoys supporting clients with their accounting needs, whatever they may be. In her free time, she enjoys learning new languages and hopes one day to become a polyglot
Bobbi Buckland
Bobbi is the Office Manager with Kowalski CPA. With 20+ years of experience in office management, she's developed a reputation for reliability, organization, and the ability to keep even the busiest offices running efficiently. She thrives on creating order, supporting colleagues, and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.
When she's not coordinating schedules or streamlining processes, she enjoys staying active through workouts and making the most of her downtime with family.
Erin Stead
Erin is the Bookkeeping Team Lead with Kowalski CPA and has been with the firm since June 2024. She graduated from the Business Administration – Accounting program with Algonquin College in 2013 and is in the final stretch of obtaining her PCP designation with the National Payroll Institute.
Prior to her career in bookkeeping and payroll, Erin worked as a Sommelier at a few local restaurants in the Ottawa area. When not working, Erin spends her time with her husband, their three kids and one dog.
Monica Volkov
Monica is a bookkeeping technician with Kowalski CPA. She attended Carleton University for her Bachelor of Mathematics in Statistics, then finished her education at Algonquin College in the Bookkeeping and Accounting Practices program to break into a career in bookkeeping.
Monica works with many law firms and medical practices, and enjoys helping local businesses stay organized and up to date with their books. In her free time, she enjoys playing and watching baseball (go Jays!), and playing video games.
Acacia Thibeau
Acacia is a Bookkeeper with Kowalski CPA and has been with the firm since January 2025. She supports a diverse range of clients by including a focus on construction industry and non-profits.
In her free time, she volunteers and advocates for mental health awareness, and enjoys cooking and creating restaurant-quality dishes.
Amber Roy
Amber is the newest bookkeeper at Kowalski CPA. She graduated from the Bookkeeping and Accounting Practices program at Algonquin College in 2024 and is excited to be part of the team. In her free time, Amber enjoys doing escape rooms and relaxing with her cats.
